At what point does this actually pay for itself?
Around $2,600 of booked work a month. Pro saves you three percentage points on bookings that run through your profile, so $2,600 × 3% is roughly the $79 founding subscription. Below that you are paying for the placement and analytics rather than the fee saving — which may still be worth it while you are building a book, but go in knowing that.
Does the fee reduction apply to work my outfitter books?
It applies to bookings that run through your HunterPass profile. Work an outfitter books directly under their own arrangement is settled on their terms and their fee, not yours — Pro does not change what your outfitter pays or what they have agreed to pay you.
Does Pro make me look more qualified than I am?
No, and we would not build it if it did. Pro affects placement and analytics, never the credentials on your profile. Registration status, insurance, and first-aid currency are verified the same way for everyone, and a lapsed credential blocks assignment on Pro exactly as it does on the free tier.
I guide six weekends a year. Should I buy this?
No. Stay on the free profile — it costs nothing, carries the same verified credentials, and takes the same bookings. Come back when guiding is a meaningful share of your income.
When does it become available?
With guide tools in Q1 2027. Those touch outfitter-registration rules that differ in every state, and getting them wrong puts your license at risk — so they land when they are right rather than at launch.
